Benedetti DAVIS Central Extending Dining Table

DAVIS with centre extension pairs a knotty oak veneer top with Benedetti's crossed metal legs: clean, modern lines and a natural wood surface that shows off the knots and grain.

Three 45 cm leaves are stored inside the frame. Pull the two halves of the top apart, drop the leaves in, and the table grows from 140 to 275 cm, 160 to 295 cm or 180 to 315 cm, so it seats up to 14 people when the family comes over.

• Size: 140 cm extending to 275 cm, 160 cm extending to 295 cm, or 180 cm extending to 315 cm

About Benedetti

Benedetti is a family-run Italian company that has made tables and chairs for around 50 years in Gallo di Petriano, in the Montefeltro hills of the Marche, near Pesaro. This part of Italy has a long furniture-making tradition, and each Benedetti table is still made to order there for the customer who buys it.

The company's approach is to combine artisan craftsmanship with modern production technology: technology brings efficiency and precision to every step, while skilled hands give each table its character. Finishes such as sandblasting, which brings out the natural grain of the wood, and "consumo", a hand-distressed edge that recalls the wear of old solid wood, are still done by hand. Tables can be lacquered in Benedetti's own colours or any RAL shade. Benedetti tables are tested for stability, strength and durability.
