Care
Black calamine steel is a carbon steel treated to keep the look of natural iron, with marks, flames and traces of oxidation. These give the clock a lived-in, industrial charm. It is a living material and its look changes slowly over time.
The surface is protected by a light layer of natural wax. To keep it looking its best, remove any rust spots now and then with the fine steel pad (included), then apply a thin layer of furniture beeswax with a soft cloth. Do not use the pad on the screen-printed areas.
